Du Port à Nice Nord

Ce parcours est un trait d'union entre mon enfance et aujourd'hui, car j'ai été scolarisé au collège du Parc impérial, et joué + de 15 ans au tennis au club du parc Impérial (le Nice LTC, où a joué notamment Yannick Noah), avant de déménager dans le quartier du Port.

L'itinéraire vous mènera au travers de plusieurs lieux incontournables de Nice, notamment l'avenue Jean-Médecin, le cœur commercial de la ville, La gare Thiers, récemment complètement réaménagée, la zone piétonne, logée au cœur du carré d'or derrière la promenade.

Vous contemplerez également l'Eglise Russe, construire par la tsar Alexandre II vers 1850, à la mémoire de son fils.

Le Parc Impérial, quant à lui, a été construit au tout début du 20e siècle comme un hôtel de luxe, et est aujourd'hui devenu un des plus importants collège-lycée de la ville

Pour y aller ; l'itinéraire suit pour une bonne partie la ligne 1 du tramway ; passée la Gare Thiers, le bus qui dessert historiquement le Parc Impérial est le 17

From the Marina to the northern part of Nice

This track is a link between my childhood and today, because I was educated at the collège du Parc impérial, and played more than 15 years of tennis at the club du parc Impérial (the Nice LTC, where Yannick Noah played), before moving to the Port district.

The itinerary will take you through several of Nice's must-see places, including Avenue Jean-Médecin, the city's commercial heart, the recently completely refurbished Thiers train station and the zone pietonne, located in the heart of the Golden Square behind the promenade.

You will also contemplate the Russian Church, built by Tsar Alexander II around 1850, in memory of his son.

The Parc Imperial, for its part, was built at the very beginning of the 20th century as a luxury hotel, and has now become one of the most important high schools in the city.
